Book of Todd – Winner of the 48 Hour Film Festival!

Great news everyone! It’s been a while, but I’m happy to announce my latest film with SHRUG Productions (Book of Todd) just won a number of awards at the Best Of screening last night for the 48 Hour Film Festival in Baltimore! We took home Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Acting – Ensemble and Best Film! With that, we’ll be moving onto Filmapalooza in Los Angeles next year to represent Baltimore. So proud of everyone who worked on this film with me and I can’t wait to see where else we go from here!

The Reviews Are In – Wait Until Dark Is A Hit!

One week down, 3 to go! Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for our first performances of Wait Until Dark. We’ve gotten a lot of great audiences and a lot of great feedback, including two glowing reviews from MD Theatre Guide and DC Metro Theater Arts:

“Of the three men, Adkins makes the most impact. He seems to be channeling his Alan Arkin (who played the role in the movie). He is witty, urbane, intelligent, and chillingly cold. He never deviates from his goal. Quinn and Chaney work very well together as two small-time con men way in over their heads. You almost feel sorry for them going up against Roat and then Susy.” – MD Theatre Guide

“Any good thriller needs a villain, and Harry Roat (Adam R. Adkins) is as villainous as they come. Roat is a smorgasbord of a character, being by turns charming, clever, humorous, devious, polite, calculating, and psychopathically homicidal. Roat wants to be the center of his universe, manipulating others at will, and Adkins makes him as gleefully evil as any Bond villain, down to some Snidely Whiplash-style chortles.” – DC Metro Theater Arts

I’m very proud of this show and the work myself and the rest of my cast and crew have done. Tickets are still on sale for our next 3 weeks of shows, but make sure to get your tickets soon because they’re moving fast! http://thelittletheatre.com/tickets/

Long Time No See

Hello all. It’s been a long time since I’ve posted an update on my site here. While I have been adding a few things here and there on the site, I didn’t seem necessary to add a whole new update. But in the time since my goodbye to Bobby Heenan, I’ve been doing some film work with Shrug Productions (Extra Shiny and Buzz now available in my videos section) and was fortunate enough to be featured in the Washington DC regional premiere of Puffs with Landless Theatre Company. I’ve included new pictures, videos, reviews and other goodies that you can find in the links in the top bar. More fun stuff is in the works, so hopefully I can post more news as it comes.

Don’t worry, I’ll make sure we don’t wait such a long stretch before we see each other again.
