The Margins Promo Shots & Tickets On Sale!

Hello dear readers. I’m happy to share a little Margins hype with you  today. Yesterday the very talented Kristin Jackman stopped by our rehearsal in order to take some promo shots for us. I picked out a choice few that I enjoyed the most and put them on my Pictures page. Please feel free to visit and give the album a look. But just to wet your whistle, check out a sample shot below.

Margins-5

That’s a mean looking crew of ghost hunters. Tickets are still on sale but going fast. Our last show, Nightfall with Edgar Allen Poe, was sold out each night we performed. So I wouldn’t dilly dally with reserving your seats. Please visit our tickets page to order now. Or for the more frugal minded we still have some seats available for half-price on Goldstar.

Until the next update, in which I may have something else to get you excited…

The Margins Tickets Are On Sale, Brian Williams Video and Molotov’s Carolina Reaper Challenge This Thursday Night!

Hello dear readers. I have some good news that I want to share with everyone. First of all, I’m happy to announce that tickets for The Margins with Molotov Theatre Group are officially on sale! We just started rehearsals last week and this is going to be a good one. For more information, please feel free to check out my Calendar, our Facebook Event Page or our ticket site. Our last show, Nightfall with Edgar Allen Poe, sold out for every single performance. We were turning them away at the door, so make sure that you get your tickets early.

Secondly, this Thursday will be the Molotov Carolina Reaper Challenge & Film Screening. Company members Alex & Yoni will be eating two (yes, two) Carolina Reapers while we mess with them. We will also be screening the Vincent Price classic House on Haunted Hill and holding our own Iron Stomach Challenge, where you can step up and see if you have what it takes to consume a Ghost Pepper, the hottest naturally occurring pepper in the world. This is my first event as Molotov’s Special Event Coordinator and I’m incredibly excited for this. Make sure to check out our Indiegogo campaign and our Facebook event to see how you can be a part of this insane night. Keep in mind, we’re only $300 away from me doing something terrible to myself that night as well. So keep those donations coming!

Finally, I recently shot a short web video with local filmmakers Chris Sheridan and Patty Kim about the Brian Williams controversy. It turns out that this has opened the door for a lot of other newscasters out there to admit to their mistakes. Take a look at the video below to see yours truly apologize for his gaffs, and check out my Videos page to see the rest of my blunders.

Molotov’s Carolina Reaper Challenge!

Hello friends. I’m happy to announce that as Molotov Theatre Group’s Special Event Coordinator, we finally have a date and time set for our next fundraiser! The first in a series of our Screenings, Stunts & Spirits series, we will be hosting a movie night and pepper eating challenge on February 26th at Johnny Pistolas starting at 7:00 pm. At the event, we’ll be having our members Alex Zavistovich and Yoni Gray eating the hottest pepper on the planet: The Carolina Reaper. How long they go without relief depends on how much money we raise. We only launched the event 2 days ago and we’ve already raised $698! That means that they’ll be going a whole ten minutes before they get sweet satisfaction. And if we reach our goal of $1000, they’ll eat another pepper at that ten minute mark! We’re already planning stretch goals, so keep an eye out for whatever dumb and painful stuff we can have these guys do.

We will also be hosting our Iron Stomach challenge. If you think you have what it takes, a $20 donation at the door will get you entered into a competition with eating a Ghost Pepper. Whoever goes the longest without relief will win a Molotov Prize Pack including two tickets to The Margins running through April.

Finally, the night will close with a screening of the Vincent Price classic House on Haunted Hill. The classic ghost story will get everyone in the mood for our own ghost story The Margins.

Tickets are Pay What You Can at the door with a suggest donation of $20. All the proceeds will be going to Molotov Theatre Group in order to continue to bring you awesome theater and dumb stunts like this.

To donate to this worthy cause, please visit the Indiegogo page. Or to mark the date and time of the event, please visit my Calendar page or check out our Facebook event. Hope to see you there! But in the meantime, enjoy our promo video:

The Margins In 2015 & New Pictures From Nightfall and Saving Private Poo!

Hello friends. Another year has ended and I couldn’t have possibly been busier. Throughout 2014 I performed in 5 plays (Morning, Miranda, The Narrow Gate, Saving Private Poo, Nightfall and A Klingon Christmas Carol) and directed 4 more (God of Carnage, The Scottish Detective, Cosmetic Consciousness and Gallery). I got to do some more background work for Veep, filmed some industrials with FJC Media, shot a short film and joined Molotov Theatre Group as their Special Events Coordinator and a company member. All in all, it’s been an excitingly exhausting year and I’m proud of everything and everyone I’ve gotten to work with. However, as the year closes, we look forward to 2015 with a brand new project. The Margins will be debuting with Molotov in April. The story centers around a group of psychics who are brought together to create a spirit, similar to the famous Phillip Experiment in the 1970s. However, once they bring their powers together, they discover that their creation is stronger than even they can imagine. It’s a creepy script, likely made all the creepier by us at Molotov. Expect some splatter with this one, kids. For more information, check out Molotov’s page here.

I also have a bit of a site update, as I was finally able to add pictures from both Nightfall and Saving Private Poo. Both sets came out pretty awesomely and you can check them out on my Pictures page here. Here’s just a little sample:

Night

Why yes, I am insane. Thank you so much for asking.

That’s about all for now, my dear readers. In the meantime, make sure to mark your calendars for The Margins, and hopefully I’ll see you there.
